Panel discussion

with Aleksey Lakhov (Russia)
and Yuliya van Polanen (Ukraine)

On Monday 1 August ATLAS DOCS organized a special and high-profile event. After the showing of the documentaries from Russia and the one-minutes from Ukraine a candid conversation took place between Yuliya and Aleksey.

Yuliya van Polanen works for AFEW a Dutch non-governmental humanitarian public health organization dedicated to improving the health of key populations in society and Alexsey Lakhov who works for several independent HIV and AIDS organizations in Russia. Yuliya and Aleksey discussed the present working conditions for independent HIV and AIDS organizations in Russia and Ukraine and the challenges for the HIV/AIDS community in both countries.
